BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Department of Mental Health shall establish four (4) new facilities at the State Hospital at Whitfield for the housing and care of mental patients who are committed to the hospital in the manner provided by law, using funds appropriated by the Legislature for that purpose.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
